This campground is one of the best we have stayed at. The sites are large, excellent electric and sewer. The water is usable, but has a salty taste. We stayed on the ocean side next to the dunes. This was very convenient, but a bit windy at times, which also made it cool on hot days. Park is on an island surrounded by National Parks which makes some things a ways away. In some ways it is a primitive area. Beautiful beaches and sunrises and sunsets and quiet. Definitely a keeper.

This campground is one of the best kept secrets in New York. It is a great spot to stay or to tour the Finger Lake Region. Other than some distant road noise, we found absolutely nothing wrong with this campground. They have everything, and is a great place for family's or a couple just getting away for a while, The campsites are very spacious and the rolling hills give you a lot of privacy. The Campground and Campsite were very easy to get into and out of with my 40ft Motorhome. We will be back.

Still a great place to stay after all these years. They just keep getting better with age. We will be back again.

This was our first trip to this park and area. It is located in a beautiful spot on the Seaway. A lot of our spare time was spent watching the ships pass by on the Seaway. We were very pleased with this park and the meticulous care taken by the owners. The location is very convenient to tour the area and the owners were very helpful with local info. There is also a dock on the Seaway to fish from or dock your boat. We easily navigated the park and parked our 40ft Motorhome in a super spot with a view of the Seaway. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in the Club Castaways section, which I assumed would be PRIVATE, but was not really?? The card access gate only restricts cars and rv's, and was easily by-passed by golf carts and bicycles, which meant we were on the tour route every nite. The bath houses also had card access, but were easily by-passed by the campers in other sections. So what you got was a larger lot and a lot of visitors? Found the other campers very rude as far as cutting thru sites and making a lot of noise. I again assumed that with the price of the sites I would have a little better choice of neighbors, not. Campfire and bar-b-que smoke prevented us from opening our windows at all during our stay. Don't get me wrong, this is a great campground and every possitive statement in other reviews were well deserved. I felt that the extra charge for teens was a little much as the two that were with us only used the beach one day and never used the exceptionally small pool or other activities as they were more interested with the activities at Ocean City. The charge should be made on pre-teens as they were the ones using all the campground amenities and activities? If we were going without children, I would probably have opted to stay at Island Resort in Newark MD., as it is a much quieter campground and just a little farther from Ocean City. All said, we will probably go back if our Grandaughter wants to go to the shore next year.

Great park to tour the area. Easy in and out. Water, electric & sewer all great. Nice and quiet at nite although nearby helicopter flights (site-seeing)during the day are a little irritating. Have stayed before, will stay again.

Nice campground, easy to get into and out of. We use it almost every year as a stop over. Reading brochure, their is lots to do in the area. Escort to site, water , electric, & sewer great. Will stop again.

Easy in and out, nice long sites and roads ok. Good for overnite and would stay longer if needed. Nice doggy park. Have been here before and will be back.

First I would like to say my rating was not for the condition of the campground as it is very well maintained. I would give the condition a nine. My rating is for the discomfort I experienced during our stay. Because we could not stay at the campground we wanted, we opted to stay here as they had openings, so I broke my number one rule. Never stay at a campground that has cabins mixed in with the campsites? I have found that for the most part the people that use these cabins are only here to party and have no respect (camper etiquette) for their neighbors? Our cabin Neighbors were going to a monster truck rally and thought we were entitled to a demo at the campground? If you like large diesel trucks coming and going all night, it would have been great? There were also large campfires, stoked with whole wooden pallets. We experienced noxious fumes from many fires burning who knows what? The dog on leash law was not heeded as most of the seasonal campers and cabin people have never read the rules, a huge Rotweiler attacked my Goldens and was only called back at the last minute. I reported this and the truck problem to the office, only to be blown off? The traffic noise from 15 is also a little loud if you stay in the 200 series campsites. Of course these are the ones left open for the transients as the seasonals campers have taken the good ones away from the noise? If you go, (I probably won't again) be ready for rude cabin people and also seasonal campers who ignore you and the rules? We had stayed here many years ago with a club and had used the pull throughs up by the office. They seemed fine at the time, and may be less noisier, but the entrance and exit roads surround you on these sites, front and back. Also, when making reservations, make sure you include any coupons as they are not valid later, and be prepared for them to take your full amount out if using plastic.

The campground is well maintained and is close to Knoebels Amusement Park. They have a shuttle bus that runs to the park which is only a few miles away. The power was steady and the water pressure good. Most sites are either gravel or grass and there are sites under the trees and in the open. The two RV's per site and the no limit to number of occupants rule makes some sites a little over used and sometimes infringes on others. Also the one vehicle per site rule seems not to matter. This is a family friendly campground and because of the amusement park, has a lot of kids around. We would stay here again.

This was our first visit and will not be our last. We had planned on visiting this campground all year and finally made it in September. Just settling back and watching the beautiful scenery was so very relaxing. This park has everything you are looking for and more. It has many paths to walk and ride on, and you are always surrounded by the great lake vistas. This campground has no bad sites, as all have a great view of beautiful Lake Ontario. And the sunsets and sunrises are to die for. I even got up earlier than ever to see the sunrises. The owners and crew are very eager to make your stay a great one. If you are in the area, this is a must see. We will definitely return.

This was our first time at Green Lakes and it certainly was a very nice experience. We had selected a site unseen and upon arrival found that our large motorhome could not be leveled on this site. I called the office and was graciously given other available sites, which I immediately surveyed and found a beautiful site next to the bath house. I called back and was told that everything would be changed and I would not need to return to the office. The staff was very nice and seemed to be on top of everything. We stayed for four nites and wished we could have stayed longer. The park is just a few miles from shopping malls and not far from center city Syracuse. The park has many trails and many scenic vistas. We will definitely be back. Check out their web site for more details.

Very nice, clean park with lots of room to roam. Park is located in the mountains of the Delaware River watershed in The Southern Tier of New York, with beautiful sunrises, sunsets and dark star studded nights. Very quiet and restful area, but with lots to do on day trips, near by. The Campground is family owned and operated with the owners on site. The Kelly Family was very eager to make our stay a great one. We had stayed here before and it is one of those places you will be drawn back to. We will be going back. They also have a 9-hole par-3 golf course adjacent to the Park which is available for a small fee.

At the last minute we chose to go to the shore. After many phone calls and a lot of laughter on the other end of the phone and against all other reviews on this site I called Holly Lakes. My reservation was eagerly accepted and we went. I parked by the office and viewed the main entrance, which had a large tree leaning over the road which made entrance to this section with my large motorhome impossible. I sent my wife to register while I unhooked my toad. She returned with the registration, but no directions or map. After I approached the registration lady about the problem, I was directed down the road about a mile or two to their off site campground. With no assistance we entered a road which turned into a cow path, full of potholes and ruts, with large trees leaning over the road. A sane man would have turned and ran, but I had promised my granddaughter a week at the shore?? When we finally got to the campground we were met by a card entry gate. As I had already taken my toad off, I was able to enter with the motorhome, but my wife had to wait about 20 minutes to use the card to enter with the toad. The campsite was very spacious, long and wide. The power was good and steady even with two air conditioners and the microwave running. The water was clean and tasteless, we drank it?? The sewer hookups were a little shaky, but usable. (My rating is for the campsite, note any of the surrounding amenities) We used the pool once, but were chased out as someones child dirtied the water. The pool was in the main section and we had to drive to it as it was about 2 to 3 miles from our campsite. Because of the inconvenience, we only went to the pool once all week. It was actually easier to get to the beach, except that route 24 going out to route 1 has been designated the busiest road in the state of Delaware (per the local newspaper). We spent long periods in line at the traffic lites on route 24?? The staff was very nice and courteous. Unfortunately our section had a lot of seasonals with a lot of trash around their RV's, with dogs tied to trees and barking all times of the day and night, (but no blue tarps). Now the best part, I very quickly realized that I couldn't get out of the campground on the exit road?? Luckily there was a person on the gate on our departure day and I was able to exit through the entrance. This park needs a lot of maintenance and road improvement, and tree trimming. Definitely not worth the price we paid?? This wasn't the worst park we've stayed in, but it is getting the number two spot on my list??

Campsites range in size from medium to large depending on the area. Most campsites are paved. Very nice pool and a great lake. Also has boating and hiking trails in park. Pets are allowed in two areas now and these sites are spacious. The Rangers are very nice and are eager to help out. Great place for family gatherings as they have two pavilions that you can rent through their web site. We will be going back.

Nice quiet park in the mountains of North East Pa. Easy to get to, 6 miles from major highway with good interior roads. Owners live on premise and are eager to please. Power is excellent and water is also. Has very large sites, with a spectacular view of the distant mountains. We will be going back.

We stayed here with our Good Sam Club. We stayed on the newer sites out by the road. The hookups were great and the scenery was to die for. The pool looked great but the weather was cool so we didn't go in?? Lots to do and see in the area. This was our first time and everyone wants to go back again. Park is very easy to get to, into and out of. There is a turn around next to the office if you want to drive down to register, or you can pull alongside the road and walk about 300' to register, then park on the full service sites. We will definitely go back, great park.

Excellent park in a very scenic area in the mountains of north-central Pennsylvania. Nearby parks and trails and waterfalls and lakes. There are many things to see and do nearby. This park has great sites. They are large and level and easy to get into. Very quiet and dark at night, great sleeping. All sites are well shaded with large trees and the sites are far enough apart to have privacy. The owner-operators could not do enough to make our stay delightful.

The sites are all blacktop and some are wide enough that you have blacktop under your awning. The pull thrus are large and easy to get into. The backins are adequate. This is a good park to use as a base to tour, as it is close to everything. The owner was very nice and we felt very secure here. The park is on a main highway that ends at the falls. We will stay here on our next visit. Website has excellent pictures of campground. Excellent restaurant across street.

Great park, easy in and out. We camp here often with and without our camping clubs. Lots to do in the area. Owner/Operators are always pleasant and eager to help. We will be going back.

We stayed here in a motorhome. The park is owned and operated by the town of Owego New York. There are many sites with excellent views. The park is right on the river, and you may swim or fish, or launch your boat in the park. Some sites are close together, but there are large sites also. They do not take reservations, so you must be there to get a site. Although, if you are in the area, you may rent a site earlier in the week and show up on the weekend to use it. You don't have to be on the site to save it, just pay for it and it is yours. They have reserved signs that they put on the sites to save them after you show up and pay for them. This was our first stay and we will definitely go back.

Great park, a little piece of heaven, can't wait to go back. We stayed here for the month of October 2006. This was our third visit to this park. The park is well kept and the bathhouse and laundry super clean. The owners are super friendly and can not do enough for you. Not only are you escorted to your site, but I have seen the owner personally back a campers unit in when they were having trouble, and even helped them hook up. The park is very pet friendly with lots of pet walking room. The park is close to Natahalia National Park and to the town of Franklin with all types of shopping available, and lots of sightseeing to do. It is very easy to get to and to get into. Although we were hooked to 30 amp power, my power hungry motorhome never wanted for more. The owners live on site and are always available to their campers. We are already booked for this October, can't wait.

This campground is family owned and operated and they take great pride in their park. They are very friendly and cannot do enough for their campers. We have camped here many times and will definitely go back. The campground is far enough from town to be nice and quiet, but close enough for shopping and sightseeing.

We have visited this park many times before, but the last time was the worst for us, and the last. I should have known we were in for a long weekend when the family nest door moved in and started their campfire within 3 feet of my motorhome before even setting up their pop-up. When I mentioned the proximity of their campfire to my RV, they immediately became my worst nightmare. Camping with a group has its drawbacks, as I was committed to staying where we were. Of course the only group camping available was right across from the pool and all activities, and most of our members are 55+ with no kids, so this was not to our advantage. Some sites had sewer and some not and the campground did not honor our requests when they placed us, and we were not permitted to trade places. In past visits we were parked down by one of their pavilions which they reserved for clubs, but now the permanents have taken that area over, as these are nicer sites. If you have a pop-up or a tent and like a lot of noise and activity, and have a bunch of kids, then by all means, go to this park. Some campgrounds you leave and return to and others you run from, and never return, we ran.

This campground is easy to get in and out of. The campground is clean with blacktop, gravel, and grass. It is located just a mile from the greatest amusement park in the world, Knoebels. We go here at least once a year and sometimes more. Definitely a keeper.
